STEAM

For the past 10+ years, Alta Loma Christian School has put forth an intentional effort to stay at the forefront of innovation and the development of 21st Century Skills at every grade level. In addition to comprehensive technology instruction - from coding in preschool to 3D modeling and printing - and technology integration in every classroom, ALCS has led the way in its extracurricular STEM (applied Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) programs, earning both local and national attention for student accomplishments in aerospace engineering and programming.

We are committed to offering new opportunities across grade levels for STEM exploration outside those already being addressed as a part of our core curriculum.

EaGliders Middle School STEM Team

For the 2024-2025 school year, ALCS is bringing back the after-school STEM program for seventh and eighth grade students only. The purpose of the restructured STEM team is to focus on the annual ICSC STEM competition at GCU in spring 2025, during which our STEM team will compete in the Glider competition. The EaGliders team will  meet on Mondays and Wednesdays and be guided by ALCS alumni Evan Metzinger, who will lead our students through the various stages of engineering - research, ideation, and development - to develop an original glider for national competition.

The EaGliders will begin on Monday, September 9, 2024. Please download a flyer below for more info and registration.

Meet the Masters Art Program

ALCS is proud to bring back Meet the Masters, a school year-long art program for all elementary and middle school students. Meet the Masters is a comprehensive program in which students learn to replicate the styles and mediums of some of the world's most distinguished artists. Meet the Masters meets twice per month beginning on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Please download the flyer below for more info and registration.
