There are many ways in which you can get connected and stay informed with the day-to-day activities and details of your child’s education, from viewing grades and daily lesson plans, checking on your child’s reading progress, and seeing what’s available for hot lunch. All of the following resources are for you to connect deeper with the school and strengthen the bond between parent and teacher in order to ensure your child is getting the most out of each moment of the ALCS school day.
RenWeb Power Management is the centralized management tool of ALCS that keeps track of student information. RenWeb’s ParentsWeb tool allows parents to view their child’s grades, daily lesson plans, behavior report, and a wide variety of additional information. ParentsWeb is free for parents to use, and is a great resource for staying up-to-date in regards to their child’s progress.
Instructions for using ParentsWeb:
- Go to https://www.renweb.com/login.htm
- Enter the school ID: ALCS-CA
- Enter your email address in the space provided (email address must match the one provided to the school).
- Enter your password (If it is your first time using ParentsWeb, contact the school office to obtain your password, which is initially assigned by RenWeb. After you log on for the first time using this password, you have the option of changing it to suit your needs).
Renaissance Learning’s Home Connect is an online resource that allows parents and students to view reading and math practice and progress toward their goals. Parents and students can view the student’s quiz performance, current book level, overall reading progress, and more. Parents can also sign up to receive email updates on their child’s math and reading progress. Learn more about Home Connect.
Using Home Connect
To use Home Connect, you need your child’s Accelerated Reader login information. Students will be able to provide their login username and password, as they use them at school whenever they take an Accelerated Reader (AR) test.
Go to https://hosted132.renlearn.com/1301116/homeconnect/ and enter your child’s username and password, and click ‘Log In.’ From there you will be able to see all information available on Home Connect.
CaterTots is ALCS’ chosen full-service caterer and provider of hot lunches. CaterTots specializes in serving preschools and private and parochial schools in Southern California with nutritious and tasty meals. Learn more about CaterTots.
ALCS parents may sign up and access current lunch menus and place orders online.
If you are using CaterTots for the first time, visit https://www.catertots.com/addaccount/parent/default.aspx to set up a new account. Fill in the necessary personal information, using ALTA19 for the ‘School Code’ to ensure you sign up with ALCS. Once your account is set up, you can start ordering hot lunches! (please note that orders must be paid and received by CaterTots no later than 8:00 am the day prior to service).
Box Tops is one of our school’s biggest fundraisers that continue throughout the school year. The above logo can be found on hundreds of items found in your local grocery store, such as cereal, tissue, and bread products. For every Box Top logo that is collected by the school (simply by cutting out the logo from the item’s box/wrapper), Box Tops for Education donates a percentage to the school. It is a simple and effective way for families to help raise money for the school by purchasing products they already use on a normal basis. Learn more about Box Tops.
In addition, Box Tops for Education partners with hundreds of online merchants, such as Best Buy, Gap, Expedia, and Target, to give families an additional method of raising money for their school. Parents may sign up online at Join Box Tops. Once you select Alta Loma Christian School and enter your information to create your account, you can begin shopping online through the Box Tops website and earn money for the school!
