Three ALCS Students Selected as National Carson Scholars

Three Alta Loma Christian School students — Alejandra (grade 6), Alana (grade 6), and Tyler (grade 8), pictured left-to-right above — have been selected by the Carson Scholars Fund as national scholars, one of the nation’s premier awards for students based on a combination of academic achievement, community service, and personal character qualities.

It was Tyler’s fourth consecutive year receiving the prestigious national award, and Alana’s second. It was Alejandra’s first time to be chosen for the honor.

“Our entire ALCS community is overjoyed by this highly respected national honor for Alejandra, Alana, and Ty,” smiled ALCS Head of School, Dr. Vance Nichols. “Being selected a national Carson Scholar is a significant accomplishment. Carson Scholars represent the best of our nation’s youth, as well as our promise for the future. We praise God for our three homegrown scholars from ALCS and their very special honors.”

Tyler becomes the second ALCS student in school history to receive the award four times.

All three Eagle scholars will be honored at a special awards ceremony this spring by the Carson Scholars Fund.

The national scholarship fund was founded by renowned and now-retired pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Ben Carson, and his wife, Candy. Both are devout Christians.

Congratulations to our three National Carson Scholars from Alta Loma Christian School!
