ALCS Runs, Walks, and Dances in Praise at 2017 Eagle Walk-a-thon

On Friday, November 3, Alta Loma Christian School joined together for our largest and most important school fundraiser of the year. With great determination and joy, our students walked, jogged, ran, sang, danced, laughed, and prayed their way around our school’s athletic field (and preschoolers around the Awana square) on a beautifully cool day to raise funds for our annual EagleFund partnership fund.

“What an absolutely wonderful EagleWalk we had today!” exclaimed ALCS Head of School, Dr. Vance Nichols. “The kids and staff and parents really put their hearts—and feet—into it! It was truly a joyous and remarkable day. It was our ALCS family being together doing something really cool. What an amazing day!”

As a private Christian school, ALCS relies heavily on this annual fund for vital budgetary support, including initiatives detailed in our five-year strategic plan, EagleVision 2022. These include science, technology, and educational technology, including makerspaces and materials support for new hardware; STEM/STEAM expansion through The Eagle Center for Creativity and Innovation; core curricular upgrades; biblical worldview integration; professional development and faculty support; and other vital school needs that directly impact our children’s learning.

Any individual or business that gives a gift of $250 or more during EagleWalk 2017 or in the week that follows automatically qualifies for our EagleFund Wings of Distinction program, which recognizes our financial partners for their giving throughout the school year. All EagleFund Wings of Distinction Partners will be recognized at major ALCS events and in issues of EagleLink, the weekly e-newsletter sent to the entire school community. This will culminate in a special appreciation and recognition dinner in spring 2018, to give thanks to our partners for their contributions and to the Lord for His provision.
